Jaime Almandoz, MD, MBA, MRCPI, FTOS is an Associate Professor of Internal Medicine and Medical Director of the Weight Wellness Obesity Medicine Program at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. He is board-certified in Endocrinology and Internal Medicine and a diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine (ABOM).
Dr. Almandoz earned his medical degree from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, completed his Internal Medicine residency and Endocrinology fellowship at the Mayo Clinic, and pursued a fellowship in Nutrition and Metabolic Diseases at UT Southwestern. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the ABOM and as Vice Chair of the Nutrition and Obesity Disease State Network for the American Association of Clinical Endocrinology. His clinical and research interests include interdisciplinary weight management programs, post-bariatric weight recurrence, and disparities in obesity care.

Dr. Mona Chadha is an experienced Section Chief of Endocrinology, MD, CDCES, FACE, Director of the Diabetes Education and Wellness program, the Associate Program Director of the Internal Medicine Residency program at Chabert Medical Center with a strong interest in graduate medical education, population health and clinical research. Jennifer N. Clements, PharmD, FCCP, FADCES, BCPS, CDCES, BCACP, BC-ADM, is a Clinical Professor and Director of Pharmacy Education with the University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy. Dr. Clements earned her Pharm.D. from Campbell University in 2006 and completed a primary care pharmacy practice residency in 2007 at the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center in Charleston, South Carolina.
Dr. Clements began her academic career in 2007, holding full-time faculty appointments with Shenandoah University before transitioning to the Presbyterian College School of Pharmacy, where she served as Professor and Director of Postgraduate Education. During her academic tenure, she developed pharmacy practice sites in a VAMC and rural-health family medicine clinic with focus on chronic disease state management, specifically diabetes and obesity. Dr. Clements has also provided medication management for people with diabetes within an interprofessional practice model, overseeing inpatient diabetes management at Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System, a 1000+ bed for the healthcare system and chairing the health system’s Diabetes Advisory Council. She has authored numerous publications and presentations related to diabetes and obesity pharmacotherapy.
Dr. Clements is an active member of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinology, American Diabetes Association, Association of Diabetes Care and Education Specialists, American College of Clinical Pharmacy, American Pharmacists Association, and American Society of Health-System Pharmacists. She was honored as fellow in ACCP in 2017 and ADCES in 2021. She is board-certified in pharmacotherapy, ambulatory care pharmacy, and advanced diabetes management, along with certification in diabetes care and education.

Maria A. Mogollon is an Internal Medicine Foreign MD from Venezuela who has focused her practice on Diabetes and Obesity since 2002. Maria’s expertise spans both the clinical and academic fields, with significant experience in patient care and research.
She obtained her medical degree from Universidad de Carabobo in Venezuela in 1996, followed by her specialization in Internal Medicine in 2002 at the same institution. Maria then pursued a Fellowship in Diabetes at Mendoza Hospital in Argentina. She continued her private practice at her home country concentrating on Diabetes and Obesity, until 2014.
After relocating to the United States, Maria took on the role of Clinical Research Coordinator/Manager at the University of Miami while pursuing her certification as a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner at Florida International University. Upon graduation, she joined the University of Miami's Endocrinology Department as a Diabetes APRN, where she worked until 2024. Today, Maria dedicates her practice to Telemedicine, specializing in Diabetes and Obesity care, while also contributing to her faculty role.
