Cleveland Clinic 

Leslie Cho, MD, is Director of the Cleveland Clinic’s Women’s Cardiovascular Center. She is also Section Head, Preventive Cardiology and Rehabilitation and Chief Quality Officer in the Robert and Suzanne Tomsich Department of Cardiovascular Medicine at Cleveland Clinic. She is a Professor of Medicine at Cleveland Clinic Lerner School of Medicine Case Western Reserve Medical School. She is on the Cardiovascular Committee for National Quality Forum and is a special consultant to the FDA. She has been on the steering committee for clinical trials and is currently the Co-PI for Lp(a) Horizon study. She is the chair-elect for ACC CVD in women’s group. Dr. Cho is board-certified in interventional cardiology, cardiovascular medicine, and internal medicine.

The American College of Endocrinology designates this enduring activity for a maximum of 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Maintenance of Certification

Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 1.0 MOC Medical Knowledge point(s) in the American Board of Internal Medicine's (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC point(s) equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit. Aggregate participant data will be shared with commercial supporters of this activity.

Learning Objectives

Through this education, learners will improve their abilities to:

    • Identify unique cardiovascular risk factors in women
    • Discuss gender disparities in cardiovascular care
    • Describe unique cardiovascular disease in women. Women have unique cardiovascular disease – for example, stress-induced cardiomyopathy is a very female-specific CVD as well as microvessel disease as coronary artery dissection

This educational initiative is intended for all members of the endocrine care team.
