Program Description
Endocrine University®: Disease Management & Technology Skills for Endocrinology Fellows-in-Training The field of clinical endocrinology is extremely diverse considering the multiple disease states endocrinologists must diagnose and manage on a daily basis (e.g., diabetes, thyroid, osteoporosis, lipids, reproduction, pituitary, obesity, hypertension, etc.).  Endocrinology fellows -in-training and their endocrine training program directors have recognized a growing need to significantly enhance the endocrine curriculum, particularly in those areas where new technology has become essential to the practice of endocrinology. Regrettably, the majority of the endocrine training programs lack the resources necessary to provide adequate education in these areas. This deficiency is apparent by virtue of the overwhelming response by AACE members who have registered for existing accreditation/certification courses provided by AACE and ACE since 1995, and by our endocrinology fellow members who have indicated a need for a comprehensive course that fills this educational void.
