AACE Rare Diseases and Hormone Disorders Webinar Series is pleased to present a women’s health webinar on Polycystic Ovary Syndrome. This course aims to raise awareness and equip clinicians with the knowledge to improve patient care and embrace a more nuanced, personalized understanding of women's endocrine health.

This disease was chosen due to its significant impact on women's health, complex hormonal underpinnings, and prevalence in clinical practice. It highlights unique endocrine challenges throughout different life stages, from reproductive years to postmenopausal periods, and demonstrate the intricate relationship between hormonal fluctuations and overall health. The on-demand webinar will illustrate how hormone variations fundamentally influence disease presentation, progression, and management.

Upon completion of the program, participants will be able to:

Identify key clinical indicators distinguishing PCOS from other endocrine disorders to improve diagnostic accuracy and reduce misdiagnosis.

Select appropriate screening tools and assessments to detect comorbidities and long-term health risks associated with PCOS, such as CVD and depression.

Explain the pathophysiological mechanisms underlying PCOS, including insulin resistance and androgen excess, to inform evidence-based treatment decisions.
