This 5-module course is designed to provide foundational to advanced approaches to MASLD/MASH management. The online portion of this course includes 5 interactive modules covering topics from screening to risk stratification, to staging and monitoring, to evidence-based treatment strategies. This course has been designed to support learners in understanding the signs of and nuances in care of MASLD and MASH, and to provide a practical overview of current and emerging therapeutic options.

Module 1: Understanding MASLD and MASH in Endocrinology

  • Prevalence and risk factors
  • Undiagnosed MASLD and MASH

Module 2: Overcoming Diagnostic Inertia

  • Addressing common barriers to diagnosing MASLD and MASH in patients with multiple comorbidities
  • The relationship between uncontrolled diabetes, hypercortisol states, and MASLD/MASH
  • Recognizing MASLD and MASH as a cardio-kidney-metabolic condition requiring active treatment

Module 3: Screening, Staging, and Monitoring MASLD and MASH

  • Screening high-risk populations
  • Staging and monitoring strategies

Module 4: Evidence-Based Treatment of MASLD and MASH

  • Current and emerging therapies
  • The role of GLP-1 RAs
  • Patient-centered treatment planning

Module 5: Holistic Management of the Cardio-Kidney-Metabolic Spectrum

  • Treating overlapping conditions like obstructive sleep apnea, chronic pain, and metabolic syndrome
  • Exploring the importance of a multidisciplinary approach to care

Additionally, there will be a live, case-based companion session at AACE’s 2026 Annual Meeting, where the faculty will review real MASLD and MASH cases to discuss nuances in team-based management.
