Kathleen Wyne, MD, PhD, FNLA, FACE 

Kittie Wyne, MD, PhD, is an endocrinologist at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Wyne earned her medical degree from the Pritzker School of Medicine at the University of Chicago. After a residency in internal medicine at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas, she completed her fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas, Texas. Dr. Wyne is board certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism and in Clinical Lipidology. She is a member of AACE (American Association of Endocrinology), and the National Lipid Association (NLA). She was a member of the writing committee for the 2017 update of the Lipid Guidelines for AACE. While in Texas she worked with the Texas Diabetes Council to develop and update algorithms that set the standard for Diabetes Care in the state of Texas. She has served on a number of committees with AACE. Her current research interests are related to the role of inflammation and lipid metabolism in the etiology of diabetes and Cardiovascular Risk in T1D. She is specifically interested in studying people at high risk for diabetes, with a goal of developing strategies to prevent diabetes. Her interest in diabetes devices has led her to volunteer with the US FDA where she is an active member of the Clinical Chemistry and Clinical Toxicology committee for the Medical Device arm of the FDA.
