This introductory and comprehensive online certificate program will explore diabetes technology, including continuous glucose monitoring (CGM), remote glucose monitoring, insulin pumps, and connected insulin pens. Participants will learn best practices for utilizing these technologies and the data generated by each to monitor glucose levels, administer insulin, conduct successful patient visits, and make informed decisions to manage and improve patient outcomes with diabetes.

ABIM MOCSuccessful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 6 MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit. Only those who receive a passing score will be eligible for MOC credit.

Participants will learn about key features of these technologies and review a number of case studies illustrating how the products can enhance diabetes management.
To earn the full AACE Hands-On Diabetes Technologies and Skills Certificate, you must also attend the in-person hands-on skills workshop held at the AACE Annual Meeting and complete the post-test in AACE’s My Learning Center.
